Education Foundation

Background:

In the spring of 2009, the Board of Trustees of the Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools passed a motion to see the creation of an Education Foundation. The Education Foundation is to enhance the mission of Catholic Education and promote the advancement of education for students.

The Education Foundation looks to two sources of revenues: (1) endowments which are monies held in perpetuity that will be managed by the Red Deer and District Community Foundation. As the fund grows, interest will be a significant source of revenue; (2) fundraising which are monies raised through different events and initiative that will allow the Foundation to immediately begin its mission.
